Dad's Birthday

Jeff's Birthday was a normal grown up Birthday. It started with work and school, dentist appointments, baseball games and Dinner. This was the boys first game of the season. They were VERY excited to start because not only are they on the same team as half our ward...Parker is also on their team! SUPER FUN!!! Well, the game was going just fine, it was their turn to be outfield, and I was being a good mom and texting! :-) Then Melissa says to me, your son just got hit in the face with a ball. I look up and Jeff, Tonya (the coach) and two others are over there. Apparently the ball was hit and it was a line drive right into Kayden's Face. It knocked him off his feet and immediately his nose started to bleed. LONG story shorter...no broken nose but some bruising on both spirits and face. Here is a picture on our way home. Notice the bruising around his nose and it is also a tad bit swollen. The thing that breaks my heart about this picture??? You can still see the tear marks on his cheeks! But not to be outdone, the kids went and batted again when it was his turn! After baseball we went and celebrated at Red Robin! Our favorite place to go have birthday Dinners!

After Dinner we came home, planted the tree that I bought Jeff and ended with story time! I have decided that Jeff needs about 3 more laps and 7 more sides to fit everyone in!
It was a fun filled evening spent together as a family! What more could you want for your birthday?!!

We're glad you had a great birthday. Nothing like a big boy birthday! Sucks getting older!

Way to COWBOY UP Kayden. One tough little hombre! Happy B-Day Jeff! One year closer to retirement. Sorry about the backyard. Makes me feel sick w/ all those weeds back there. If they don't do anything about them, go buy a cheap goat and chuck it over the fence. Later Dawg!

Sounds like a "dad" kind of birthday. Hope it was a good day for him.
