Hill Cumorah, Joseph Smith Farm and Sacred Grove

Friday started with a trip to the above mentioned places. Hill Cumorah was our first stop. This is a view from the top of the hill looking down.
We arrived right during practice so we couldn't take the paved pathway up to the top of the hill. We had to hike up. With a double stroller. In the humidity. Not on a paved trail. With branches and rocks in the pathway. with a double stroller. with 12 kids. Bleh. When we got to the top, we needed a rest so we sat down and watched from above! Then we had a Photo Shoot! This is all the Girl cousinsAnd this is all the boys!

T quickly became Grady's Favorite and he NEVER left his side! T was SOOOO good to him!after hiking down we needed some H2O!Then we headed off the the Joseph Smith Farm. This is the Log Cabin where Joseph had the first vision! It was terribly busy, so we only got a quick look inside
Just a funny side note: We looked like a polygamist Family. With Jeff, Me and Joanna and all the Kids! Chris was at work and couldn't be with us. It was awesome to see all the looks from people. You could even see them counting the kids. When we saw people counting, we would walk up to them and say "there's twelve" and then kept walking! AWE.SOME.

This was the beautiful view of the Temple from the farm.
Then Finally we walked around the sacred Grove.I would like to apologize to the Youth group that was there. They were all scattered around the entire Grove, some by themselves, some in groups. But they all had a notebook and scriptures in hand, trying to have a spiritual experience I am sure.....But with this many kids wandering through. Chances for that to happen were slim! But it IS a BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL, MAGNIFICENT Place.!!

I loved this 7 hour day! I always feel bad for anyone in the grove when I take all my kids, but that's life right?

When people stare at me because my kids are running kind of wild, I think... guess who's going to be paying for your social security, honey! That's right!

I have to say that drinking fountain looks perfect for your family - you need one in your house :)

The pics of the cabin and the grove look so familiar - oh yeah, church paintings... cool!
